PAINTING FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIORS

The main types of water-based paints for interiors and exteriors:

The market offers various types of water-based paints. The main differentiation criterion is the more or less significant presence of some additives, which will give specific characteristics to the mixture and consequently make its use more suitable for certain environments than others.
Breathable water-based paints for interiors
They are products intended for painting interior walls. They have excellent brushability and a satin appearance. They are characterized by their breathability and permeability to water vapor. A particular slow-release bactericidal substance guarantees long-term protection against mold and fungi. They are indicated as water-based paints for kitchens, bathrooms and ceilings.
Washable water-based paints for interiors
They have a high level of washability, which results in prolonged resistance to rubbing due to cleaning. There are also permeability and breathability, albeit to a lesser extent than breathable paints.
Anti-mold and anti-condensation water-based paints
Unsightly, unhealthy and above all potentially harmful to the entire building structure, mold forms in the presence of stagnant air and high temperatures. The addition of special anti-mold and antibacterial additives makes the water-based paints an effective and lasting prevention against the formation of the microorganisms that cause them.
Condensation occurs where there is formation and stagnation of water vapor. This in turn can be caused by a considerable thermal difference between the different areas of the room, or by the passage of cold water in inadequately insulated pipes. Anti-condensation water-based paints are produced in such a way as to reduce the temperature range.
Washable water-based paints for exteriors
The acrylic emulsions or acrylic styrene present in the mixture give it great resistance to atmospheric agents and greater elasticity, with the consequent ability to follow the movements of the support.
They can be used in the renovation of facades, as well as in any other work that requires the application of external finishes.
